Soosha´s Biography

Soosha : behind bars at Consell´s Parc Verde, awaiting an owner or a trip to Son Reus Dog Pound.

Date of Birth: 2009 (Approx)

Gender: Female

Breed Type: Terrier mix

Weight: 5.8 Kgs (at 10 Dec 2011)

Background: Soosha’s background is unknown. She was picked up by the local police in the Consell area in October 2011 and taken to the Parc Verde re-cycling yard where a ‘holding’ cage for local strays had recently been provided. Soosha was not microchipped and therefore tracing her owners was impossible. After the statutory ‘holding time’ had elapsed (usually about 3 weeks) she was destined for Son Reus (a municipal dog pound - "kill shelter")

Soosha came to the notice of sisters Glenys and Sherry who visited her several times to offer treats and kind words. Initially she was shy and preferred to remain at the rear of the cage, but gradually they gained her trust and she became bolder. They decided to rescue her and find her a home.

Features: Soosha is small in size, height 26 cms to shoulder. She is a very pretty looking little dog, with golden coloured hair. She is missing the corner of one side of her tongue – reason for this unknown.

Character: Soosha has behaved impeccably in Glenys´ home (her foster carer til adoption) and is gentle and loving, liking nothing better than a cuddle and lap to sit on. She can be nervous in new situations, and may require a little time to get to know her new owner before they totally gain her trust. Thereafter, she will be an ideal companion and very loyal. Soosha displays a number of typical characteristics of the terrier type breed and pulls hard on her lead when out walkies.

Location: Foster home in Santa Maria del Cami

Health: Good.  Soosha is now microchipped, spayed, vaccinated, de-wormed, is free of leishmaniosis and a holder of an EU passport.

Neutered: Yes.

Vaccinated: Yes

Microchipped: Yes.

The aim of this blog is to find Soosha a home. If you want further information, email Glenys
